Yoshihisa Hirano is a classically trained composer and arranger for Japanese media. Famous for Hunter x Hunter, Death Note and Hajime no Ippo. He combines various Classical and 20th Century Film music styles, often with atonal characteristics. In 2000 he arranged Richard Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg for Boogiepop Phantom. In 2010 he arranged and orchestrated music for FINAL FANTASY XIII with the Warsaw Philharmonic National Orchestra and Choir. In 2016 he released two contemporary albums for solo piano.
